MLB pitcher and Buffalo School of Baseball instructor Billy Scherer now pro scout with White Sox.
Former seven-year Major League pitcher and Buffalo School of Baseball instructor Billy Scherer brings his knowledge and experience to the Chicago White Sox as a pro scout and now acts as the assistant to the general manager. Billy has also scouted for the Cincinnati Reds and Florida Marlins. Billy was on the Marlins staff when they won the World Series in 1997. This was the second time Billy was a World Series Champion. The first came in 1984, when he pitched for the Detroit Tigers. Billy’s time in the Major Leagues also took him to Cincinnati, Baltimore and Philadelphia.
