"PROFESSIONAL, EXPERIENCED"—these two words signify the Buffalo School of Baseball/Softball. Established in 1993 by former major leaguer Rick Lancellotti. Over the past thirteen years, the "BSB" has become Western New York's premier baseball and softball instructional facility.

Here at the Buffalo School of Baseball/Softball, we believe that it is extremely important to develop a solid foundation by learning the basic fundamentals properly, and then to develop and perfect those skills as you continue to play. That is what we SPECIALIZE in! There are NO gimmicks--we simply provide proper instruction to improve your quality of play and make you the best player you can be.

Don't be fooled!! There is a misconception that as a young player you are scouted and assessed by colleges and pro scouts. That process only begins later in your high school career. Here at the "BSB" we train all levels and prepare every age to be the best fundamentally sound player you can be, at every stage, as you play. If, eventually your goal is to play college baseball or softball, we can help to develop you into a strong, solid and sound player. Many of our former students have gone on to play college ball at all levels, and have received scholarships with the help of the Buffalo School of Baseball/Softball's PRO program.

Our experienced and knowledgeable staff is outlined on our instructors page. It includes: Rick Lancellotti—seventeen years professional baseball experience, thirteen years teaching players of all ages including those from professional independent baseball teams, college, high school and little league players. Other talented instructors include many former professional players who continue to actively scout, coach and play. Some of our baseball instructors include Billy Scherrer (pro scout, former pro player), Jerry Scarcella (former pro player, high school baseball coach), Fran Riordan (independent league coach), Frank Nycz (former pro player), Adam Cunningham (college standout) and Mike Wagner (former local pitching standout). Our highly qualified softball staff includes Erin Daniger (former UB assistant), Jackie Beavers (UB pitching coach), Lindsay Garbacz (Canisius College pitching standout), Molly McCarthy (St. Bonaventure pitching standout), Christine Keleher (St. Bonaventure pitching standout) and Joe Catalano (Kenmore West pitching coach).
