Leagues

The Buffalo School of Baseball holds leagues through out the year to allow players to work on their game in a fun and structured way. We have winter leagues for hitting and pitching and a fall outdoor league for player development.

Hitting Leagues

Two rounds of the hitting leagues are held and run on Sundays starting Sunday, November 5, 2006 and consist of a nine week schedule with playoffs and prizes at the end. Second nine week session begins in mid-January. Sign up for both sessions and receive a $20 discount.

The game is a 50 minute timed game with 5-10 minutes in the beginning for batting practice. Player must hit target areas marked on the batting cage netting to get singles, doubles, triples or home runs. Two swings are allowed per hitter and outs are recorded. After 3 outs the teams switch. Scoresheets are kept by a representative from each team for statistics and prizes are awarded at the end for batting average, RBI's and home runs.

Pitching Leagues
Pitching leagues are done from a mound in the batting cages and participants throw at pitching targets with a designated point system for scoring.
